Mount Hoverla is the highest and most popular mountain in Ukraine. It has an altitude of 6,762 ft. This mountain is located in the Chornohora region of the country where it is part of the Carpathian Mountains range. The mountain is one of the most beautiful parts of the country and offers some of the most breathtaking natural sceneries. Its slopes are covered with lush green forests of spruce and beech trees. The Canyon of the Dniester River in Ukraine constitutes one of the most picturesque locations in the country. The river rises in Ukraine and then continues through Moldova to drain into the Black Sea after entering Ukraine again. The Dniester is regarded as one of Europe’s most beautiful rivers and the Dniester Canyon is one of Ukraine’s ‘Seven Natural Wonders.’ The canyon snakes its way through three regions of Ukraine and offers amazing vistas of forests, rocky cliffs, caves and grottoes, islands, and waterfalls.

3. Shatsk Lakes Region

Another one of Ukraine’s most beautiful landscapes, the Shatsk lakes region is located in northern Ukraine. The region is home to over thirty big and small freshwater lakes in the basin of the Bug river. These lakes are famous for their pure and clean waters. Lake Svitiaz is the biggest lake in the region and occupies an area of 28 square km. It is Ukraine’s deepest lake and is 190 ft at its deepest point. A part of this area has been protected as the Shatsky National Natural Park. Here forests, grasslands, marshes cover large parts of the land. Several species of migratory birds are common in the area.

This arboretum and research institute is located in the City of Uman in Ukraine’s Cherkasy Oblast near the Kamianka River. It is one of the most beautiful landscapes of the country that is visited by thousands of visitors each year. More than 2,000 types of trees including both exotic and local varieties grow here. The Sofiyivsky Park was established in 1796 by a Polish noble and is named after his Greek wife Sofia. The park features a variety of landscapes including artificial ponds and basins, locks, subterranean rivers, waterfalls, fountains, etc.

Many rivers run through the mountain ranges in Ukraine creating spectacular waterfalls on their course through these mountains. The Carpathian Mountains of the country are home to numerous short, cascade waterfalls. Many waterfalls are also located in the Crimean Mountains of the country. The 98 m high Uchan-su waterfall on the southern slopes of the Crimean mountains is the country’s highest waterfall. The Shypit is a famous waterfall in Ukraine. An annual festival attracts thousands of tourists has been held here since 1993. Other notable waterfalls include the Kamianka waterfall, Bukhtivets waterfall, Voyevodyn waterfall, Dzhurynskyi Fall, and more.
