Wyoming
Wyoming Flag
DESCRIPTION:
After a design competition, the Wyoming flag was officially adopted in 1917. It features a deep blue field surrounded by a narrow white border and a larger red border. A white buffalo (bison) is centered within the field and it includes the state seal.
The state seal pictures a rancher and a miner on either side of a woman. The woman represents the state's motto "Equal Rights," which is written on a banner she is holding.
