Deal is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Deal boasts luxury real estate, private clubs, and the sandy Atlantic beaches of North Ocean Avenue. The community's population of just over 700 people is largely comprised of Orthodox Sephardic Jews. Because of this, the community has a strong cultural foundation.聽

Deal is located in the Northeast section of New Jersey, on the North Atlantic coast. The small Jersey Shore community covers an area of 1.2 square miles and sits only a few miles north of Asbury Park and roughly 4 miles South of Long Branch. New Jersey's capital city, Trenton, lies about 50 miles to the West.聽

A Brief History Of Deal
In 1664, settlers from England began to arrive in modern-day Monmouth County. Shortly after, in the 1670s, a farmer from Deale, England, by the name of Thomas White, purchased 500 acres of land. He and his peers named the area Deal, after their homeland. In 1701, one of the major roadways through Deal, Norwood Avenue, was laid. On March 7, 1898, Deal was incorporated as a borough, taking portions of Ocean Township in the process.聽
Interestingly, during 海角社区 War 2, German spies were known to land on the nearby shores. Residents of Deal were advised to avoid the beaches and keep lights off the ocean.聽
Visiting Deal
The fairly homogeneous community of Deal tailors to members of its clubs and members of the Jewish faith. Membership to the Conover Pavillion or the Deal Casino Bathing Club is required to access Deal's private, sandy beaches. These clubs are open from June to August and are a key draw for the summer crowds. There is one public beach between Deal and the neighboring borough of Allenhurst. There is also the private Deal Golf and Country Club for further summertime recreation. Finally, given the strong Jewish foundation, there are six synagogues for worship and many kosher restaurants to enjoy.聽
The tiny Monmouth County borough of Deal stands out for its strong cultural identity. This beachfront community is open to all but particularly serves practicing Jews who make up the majority of both permanent residents and summertime visitors.聽
