Salida

Salida, the county seat of Chaffee County, is a gorgeous mountain town Nestled in sub-ranges of the Rocky Mountains. It is a place travelers often overlook, and it was even named the ‘Best Unsung Mountain Town' by Outside Magazine in 2017. To this end, the few outdoor enthusiasts who visit love the attractions and activities in this natural paradise. Countless hiking trails wind their way through the surrounding wilderness, while the Arkansas River snakes through forests and hillsides. Manitou Springs

Glenwood Springs

Glenwood Springs is another spring-based town in Colorado, which has three main ways to enjoy the geothermal phenomenon. Most people jump straight into the warm waters at the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool or try the restorative powers of the Iron Mountain Hot Springs. For a unique experience, check out the underground Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves, a sauna-like cavern with warm spring water and relaxing natural spa-like conditions. Glenwood Springs is also near the White River National Forest and Glenwood Canyon, both of which offer places to experience local wildlife and explore the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. One of the more distinct attractions in Glenwood Canyon is Hanging Lake. Its bright turquoise waters are a stunning sight amidst the lush forest foliage. Estes Park

The town of Estes Park is deep within northern Colorado, tucked into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. This small town is a great gateway into the Rocky Mountain National Park, where visitors can enjoy abundant wildlife, including elk, bears, deer, and various small mammals. Travelers can explore the 265,000-acre area via trailheads and hiking trails such as Trail Ridge Road, often leading to mountain lodges and resorts engulfed by crisp mountain air and natural landscape.
