The southern United States is a beautifully eclectic mashup of tropical beaches, rich forests, and four seasons of weather. There is an endless amount of history, culture, and scenic views that make this region stand out. It is hard to choose the best towns because there are so many, but there are some towns that are true treasures.聽
Beaufort, South Carolina
Beaufort is a small town on Port Royal Island, one of South Carolina's Sea Islands. The town is known for its antebellum mansions and historic downtown area. The area is surrounded by centuries-old mossy oak trees which enhance the southern charm like a live version of a Pat Conroy novel.
