A Rapid Increase in the Number of Skyscrapers in China

It is projected that by the end of 2018 more than 200 skyscrapers will be completed with all of them being over 650 feet. The rapid increase in the number of skyscrapers internationally is mainly attributed to the rising prices of land in major cities. Companies find it cheaper to invest in building a single skyscraper on a single piece of land rather than many buildings on multiple pieces of land. The increase in skyscrapers is also because land is a finite resource and with each consecutive building, less of it becomes available.
