Tribeca is one of New York's most famous neighborhoods, and as it turns out, also one of its richest. In fact, its average income of $163,425 puts it in the ranking of the wealthiest places in the entire country. Tribeca, which stands for "Triangle Below Canal Street", was previously a farming community and then an industrial area. In the 1960s and 1970s, the conversion of former factories into fashionable lofts began, which attracted higher-income residents to the area.
4. Old Town of Alexandria, Virginia
Alexandria's Old Town neighborhood of the country's most well-off neighborhoods. Like its name would suggest, it is the oldest area of Alexandria. The neighborhood, which has been in existence since the 1700s, has a reported median income of around $169,658.
3. Sutton Place, New York
Sutton Place is the name of a small neighborhood on the east side of Manhattan. Households within the neighborhood report an income on average of $176,980, making it one of the richest neighborhoods in the country. It has been notable as a wealthy area since at least the 1920s. Today, the area is home to luxury apartment buildings and fashionable rowhomes.

Beekman Place is the name of the neighborhood surrounding the famous Beekman Place street on the east side of Manhattan in New York City. The neighborhood has a median income of $201,623, which makes it not only the wealthiest neighborhood in New York City but also the second wealthiest in the entire country.

Grove Isle refers to a planned community of Miami that was first developed in the 1970s and 1980s. A community of large high-rise buildings, it is known as being a desirable place to live thanks to picturesque views. Nearby Bayshore is mostly known for its stately single family homes. The residents of Grove Isle-Bayshore have a median income of $206,683, giving it the title of the richest neighborhood in the United States.
