Covering an area of 7,800 sq. km, Death Valley is a desert valley located in Inyo County in the southeastern part of California, United States, close to its boundary with Nevada. Along with the Sahara Desert in the African continent and the deserts in the Middle East region, Death Valley is considered one of the hottest places on the planet during the summer season.
