Fort Mountain, Northwest Georgia
Located in Northwest Georgia, Fort Mountain National Park is a popular destination favored by hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders.
Drive along Highway 52 through the Cohutta Wilderness and admire the beauty of the Chattahoochee National Forest and a number of charming small towns. Rangeley Lakes Scenic Byway, Maine

The route of the Rangeley Lakes Scenic Byway begins at the top of the Appalachian Mountains and then drops below the rolling mountains and hills. You'll observe the show-stopping views of lakes and islands on the same day you'll experience the curvy roads and vivid orange, yellow, and red mountainsides.
Million Dollar Highway, Colorado
As the name would suggest, the Million Dollar Highway boats a million-dollar view. In fact, you'll appreciate the sight of three mountain passes: Coal Bank, Molas, and Red Mountain. The highway itself is about 25 miles long, but Colorado is one of the top cities to visit in the fall because of its festivals and weekend activities.
The road, part of the San Juan Skyway, stretches from Silverton and Ouray and takes about 40 minutes to drive. The winding roads will take you from view to view. You can also make your way to the various natural hot springs scattered throughout the route and visit a few hiking trails.
As a side note, remember to use caution when making your way along this highway. The roads have narrow lanes, lack guardrails, and stretch above steep cliffs. Plus, the weather can be unpredictable and make the ride more dangerous. On a good day, the scenery and drive are magnificent.
