Watching sports in a stadium is a popular leisure activity in Asia. There are several stadiums in Asia with varying levels of capacity. Some of the stadiums have been enlarged to accommodate more spectators while Salt Lake Stadium in India, which was one of the largest stadiums by capacity, has been downsized by almost half. There are over 220 stadiums spread across Asian countries. Currently, all Asian stadiums have a capacity of more than 30,000. The stadium is named after its location (Rungrado Islet) and the day of its completion (May 1, 1989). The stadium is most famous for performance and celebrations of Kim II Sung and the country. The extravaganza attracts over 100,000 people including foreigners.

National Stadium, Bukit Jalil

Bukit Jalil National Stadium is 110,000 capacity stadium located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The multi-purpose stadium was inaugurated on January 1, 1998, and hosted the opening ceremony of the 1998 Commonwealth Games. The Malaysian national football team adopted the stadium as its home ground after the Commonwealth Games. It was also the host stadium for the 2001 SAEAC Games. Its capacity makes it the 24th largest in the 海角社区 and the second largest football stadium. The stadium鈥檚 facilities include grass pitch, synthetic track, warm-up track, broadcast studios, matrix scoreboards, and video screen board. The stadium has also hosted some important events including music concerts.

Sheikh Kamal International Stadium

Sheikh Kamal International Stadium is a newly built cricket stadium owned and operated by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. The stadium is located in the town of Cox鈥檚 Bazar. The stadium has a capacity of 100,000 and hosts mainly cricket matches. It was shortlisted to host the 2014 ICC Twenty20, but matches could not be played at the venue due to the ongoing construction work. The first event held at the venue was Women鈥檚 One Day International match on March 5, 2014. The Match was between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Shah Alam Stadium

Shah Alam Stadium is located in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The 81,144 capacity stadium mainly hosts football games but can also host athletics and other track games. The construction of the stadium began in 1990 and was officially completed in 1994. The stadium constructed with the modern technology making it a suitable venue for 海角社区-class sporting events. It is also one of the main landmarks in Shah Alam because of its size and the beautiful architecture. Shah Alam Stadium is also the home stadium for PKNS FC which plays in the Malaysian league.
