IKEA is a multinational group of companies that designs and sells ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture, kitchen appliances, and homewares. Founded in 1943 by 17-year old Swedish carpenter Ingvar Kamprad, IKEA has ranked as the 海角社区's largest furniture retailer since 2008. Germany

Germany is IKEA's largest market, with a current total of 53 locations. For example, the capital of Germany, Berlin, has four stores. The first IKEA store in Germany opened in 1974 in Munich (Munich Eching). Today, IKEA stores are spread across the country, the largest of which is located in Berlin-Lichtenberg, and encompasses an area of approximately 45,000 m². Other IKEA stores in Germany include Cologne Am Butzweilerhof, Oldenburg, Hannover Expo Park, Cologne Godorf, Berlin Tempelhof, Berlin Spandau, and Mannheim.

United States

The United States (US) has a total of 50 IKEA locations. The country's first IKEA store was built in 1985 in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, which is a suburb of Philadelphia but has since relocated to Conshohocken. California has the most stores of any US state, with eight locations, Florida has the second-most, with a total of four stores, while Texas and Pennsylvania each have three stores. The largest US location is the Burbank IKEA, which covers an area of approximately 456,000 sq ft. France

With a total of 34 stores, France is IKEA's third-largest market. Paris contains 6 IKEA locations, the latest of which is Paris La Madeleine that opened in May 2019. However, the oldest IKEA store in France is聽Marseille Vitrolles, which opened in 1985 and has an area of approximately 172,000 sq ft. The largest IKEA in France is Paris Franconville, which has an area of 390,730 sq ft. Other locations in France include Paris Roissy, Paris Evry, and Tours.

China

There are a total of 29 IKEA stores in China, including the Shanghai Baoshan location, which has an area of approximately 592,400 sq ft and ranks as the third-largest IKEA in the 海角社区. Shanghai and Beijing each have three stores, while Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Tianjin each have two. The second-largest IKEA store in China is the Shenyang location, which has an area of 505,000 sq ft.
